Hot Buttered Rum

Using an electric mixer, beat the brown sugar, butter, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until blended and smooth. Add the rum and then 2 cups of boiling water. Stir until the butter mixture dissolves. Divide the buttered rum among 4 mugs. Garnish with whipped cream and ground nutmeg and serve hot.

  • 1/2c. Dark Brown Sugar, packed
  • 1/2c. Unsalted Butter, room temperature
  • 1tsp. Vanilla
  • 1/4c. Honey
  • 1/2tsp. Ground Nutmeg
  • 1/2tsp. Ground Cinnamon
  • 3/4c. Spiced Rum
  • 2c. Hot Water
  • Salt, to taste
